26 th Jan ,

it was already 7.00 am . Engine roared to life , as usual this thumping sound gave signal to my neighbours that this guy is again going for some crazy ride !! This time our destination was Pushkar estimated distance was 1000 km.

Our first stop was around 90 km from Noida , Sri Krishna Dhaba . On the way we met many beautiful fields with yellow roses ( don t know the name ) . Few photo breaks and again we were on road . TB was cruising at 85-90 kmph effortlessly that too with a pillion rider !! Some times reached 110 kmph too . Total load on wheels was 150 kg + vehicles weight . ( total around 320 kg !)

Near Jaipur we had 3 Rs Masala Chai , I can say that was far better than Chai s served in Raddison Noida ! ( it s a 5 star hotel - MBD )

Reached Ajmeer around 4.00 pm , again stopped for chai . Crowd at that dhaba/shop reminded me that today 26 th Jan . “ KRANTIVEER “ movie was screened there , Nana Patekar was in full flow with his Dialogs and action . We watched last 30 mins of movie n started again .

Reached Pushkar took a small nice room , went for a night walking and slept.

27 th Jan ,

Let me explan about Pushkar .

Pushkar the sister city of Ajmer, is only 11 kms away from the city Pushkar is famous for its fairs and festivals and for Brahma Temple.

LORD BRAHMA TEMPLE : It is said that in a battle Lord Brahma killed the demon Vajra Nabh with a lotus flower whose petals floated down to earth and landed in three places in and Pushkar where Lakes sprang up. the bath at Pushkar is thought to be more important than at any other place. The holy dip in this lake on Kartika Purnima is thought to be salvation giving. Pushkar is very dear to Lord Brahma.

Camel Fair : A colourful and lively fair, it is one of the largest cattle fairs in the country held every year at Pushkar on Kartik Poornima (full moon, October - November) . The 9 day event is considered to be the most striking animal fair in the world. Each year, upto 200,000 people flock to Pushkar for the Camel fair, bringing with them some 50,000 camels and cattle for several days of pilgrimage, live stock trading, horse dealing and spirited festivities. A good camel can fetch tens of thousands of rupees and is a vital source of income for many villagers. This fair is the only one of its kind in the world and has featured in numerous magazines, travel shows and films.

We went to temple n lake , reached “ Radhika Restaurant “ facing Pushkar lake . This is away from busy area , so we preferred that . Evening camel riding , then again night we went to Desert riding . This was totally different experience , traveling in unknown direction . Sun set in desert forced us to take hell lot of snaps.

There we met a person called “ RAMU ” – a camel owner who made nice impression in our mind. Morning we hired his camels . He took us to his sister s house night 11.00 pm ,
Prepared nice rice , aloo gobi , salad etc etc . His sister s place was 6-7 km from pushkar ….. we don t know where !!! He did not take even single paisa for that . He told us many stories , his affair with Manela a lady from California . He was repeatedly saying Hindustani … Hindustani . Seems he likes Hindustani

Jan 28 th ,

It was our last day in Pushkar . we met Ramu and presented him a Shawl , exchanged addresses . after small shopping we left to “Ajaypalji “ . Ajaypalji is a place 15-20 km from Pushkar . Most of the times we were riding on sand , stone . Reached there and left to Jaipur . Night 10.00 pm reached jaipur stayed there .
