Mussoorie by bike
I asked my mechanic , who stays in Noida from last 25 years , whats the route to Mussoorie ? …. He stared at me top to bottom seriously and said “ Bhaisab bike leke mat javo , single roads , risky curves , rushing tourist vehicles .. Don t go there .. “ . I said then I wil definitely go !! . It was 2 days earlier to my trip , first response from some one .
Next day my team members in office were chatting , planning for week ends .“ I am going to Mussoorie “ , as I said sudden reply “ Pagal Ho Gaya Hai Kya ? “ . I just smiled , I knew that no point in arguing with 9 people at a time .
My trip started with 3 people , 2 bikes . Me , Harish , Vinay . One bike was loaded with pillion and other with baggage of 3 people .
Day One :
Route : Noida – Gajiyabad - Meerut – Mujafarabad – Roorkee - Dehradoon - Mussoorie
We started at 7.00 am in the morning , filled tank and started to Meerat . Route was very good till Meerut After that real fun started , lot of holes … some time I was very much worried about bike , tyres . 100 km strech was like that. Our first official break was 170 km away from delhi . Had very nice Parantha , Dahi ( Curd ) , after small photo break we started again .
After noon we were in Dehradoon , capital of Uttaranchal . We skipped doon , Continued towards Mussoorie . It took around 45 – 50 mins to cross Dehradoon city because of heavy traffic . Route from Dehradoon to Mussoorie very good , any one will enjoy this. If we enjoy nature while driving there is no chances of survival. We had lot of photo breaks , every 3-4 km we had a break. Around 3 we reached Mussoorie. We booked room in “YOUTH HOSTEL ASSOCIATION “ . Went to mussoorie , had food , small shopping , had ICE CREAM !!! ( it was damn cold ) Came back .
Day Two :
Morning we went to topest part of mussoorie , took nice pics , went to forest . After that againg shopping for family , friends. Left mussoorie by 2 pm. Same route , reached meerat by 8 pm , heavy traffic of lorry s … after few breaks reached Noida by 11.00 pm.
